The Benefits of Berries

  Summer always reminds me of picking strawberries with my family. Unfortunately we can’t continue that tradition because my daughter is deathly afraid of bees….but we do buy them from the store! Berries have some great health benefits: :: Berries are full of antioxidants which research shows strengthens the immune system. :: Red berries are full of potassium and vitamin C. :: Blueish berries have flavanoids, powerful antioxidants. :: Cranberries and blueberries have been known to reduce the chance of bladder infections. :: Berries are low in calories and can help regulate blood sugar. (source: nutrition.about.com) Try adding berries to your daily nutrition….throw a few in a salad!
