Which U.S. City Is the Most Frugal?Heather Sokol
I find it interesting to know who is using coupons. These are my people, yo. Now that Coupons.com has released the results of their latest research, I know where to find them. Turns out, I’m in the right place — 1/3 of the Top 25 Frugal U.S. Cities are in the midwest.
Indianapolis ranks #21; not bad, Indiana. Not bad at all. The top honor goes to Atlanta — America’s most frugal city. The most frugal state in the country is Ohio, with 3 different cities (Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus) placing in the top 25.
Coupons.com also tracked the top cities for mobile coupon use. Here, Indianapolis moves up the ranks a bit, placing #16. But, Atlanta takes the top spot even with digital coupons. According to the Savings Index, Atlantans are 7 times more likely to click for coupons than the average American city resident.
