The Identity Pal is a USB keychain designed to keep all of your child’s medical and emergency contact information in a place that they can carry around. Then, in the case of an emergency, a doctor or other authority will have all the information they need.
All of the software exists on the USB key itself, so all you have to do is plug it into a PC and fill in the information (I’m not sure about Mac compatability, but the packaging doesn’t mention it if it is). You can also password protect the data if you want, but I’m not sure what good it would do to a doctor who isn’t able to access the info. Actually, I doubt a doctor would even know what to do with the thing if the parent wasn’t there to tell them about it. And if the parent is there to show them how to use it, can’t the parent just give the doctor a decent medical history on their child?
Anyway, the Identity Pal is shock proof and water proof and is available now for an MSRP of $39.95.

I think it sounds like a great product! Like any invention, people will need to be educated to use it. I’m sure that if a doctor can use a defibrillator they can figure out how to plug Identity Pal into a computer to retrieve vital lifesaving information. I’m glad Edison didn’t listen to this type of criticism or we would all be sitting in the dark!!
I would defiantly buy this product.
