It’s got all the right features — ergonomic arm height; head-snuggling high back; removable lumbar pillow; and quiet gliding mechanism — for late-night feedings in the nursery, but this Luca glider ($895), handmade in Canada, could just as well work in the family room when the nursing days are behind you. (Seems the Luca has also been championed by at least one Babble reader: see this thread.)
Available in six different colors (pictured here: chocolate), the Luca glider is upholstered in stain-resistant, water-repellent microsuede, and anchored by a stained maple-wood base. Word of caution to those of you who, like me, are also drooling over the ottoman shown here: It’ll cost you an additional $385 to prop up your feet.
