Wondering what kind of stroller Dwight K. Schrute abused so unmercifully on tonight’s episode of The Office? Well, for one it’s not just a stroller, it’s a total “Infant System.” And it’s actually a little cheaper than the $1,200 price tag that set him off on the show. At least the part he was running over with his car.
The Orbit Infant System is a modular stroller/car seat system, designed to adapt and grow as your baby grows. With the infant system (the part Dwight was “testing” on the show) you get an infant car seat, a base and a stroller, all for about $900.
The Orbit Bassinet and Cradle was also shown on the show (in the conference room while Dwight was in the parking lot running over the stroller with his car). The Bassinet attaches to the stroller, as well as a Rocker base that can swivel and lock, allowing your baby to rock either front to back or side to side. That part sells for around $280. And eventually as your children grow up, you can buy a regular stroller seat and a regular car seat from Orbit as well.
The Orbit is definitely one of the top stroller/car seat systems out there, and it was cool to see it featured so prominently on The Office tonight. And for $900 (minus the bassinet), it’s still cheaper than Dwight’s bomb shelter.

Since all the parts were shown on the show, it does actually add up to $1200, which is an insane amount to spend on a stroller. You have got to be kidding me. My stroller/carseat set was less than half of that, probably less than a quarter of that and served me very well. These companies are really smart to have convinced people that they need to spend that much.
Someone I know owns a expensive ($600) stroller, not an Orbit. They were jealous that their brand wasn’t the one crash tested. The show was hilarious!
Blech, you reprint a press release for their annoying product placement? This totally turns me off the show AND the stroller. And I bet half those comments above come from spam employees for Orbit.

We didn’t get to see the stroller after all the damage was done. I could have sworn a wheel came off then it smashed into Dwight’s car. It would be amazing if it really survived the abuse unscathed.
we have the orbit.. and although it was pricey (a gift from the great grandparents) we love it!! it was very funny to see it on the show.
