Big Deal: Kicks that Fit Their Feet

By | April 8th, 2009 at 12:02 pm

Ever feel like your kids pull a Goldilocks between the shoe store and the house? At the store they’re a little big – just right to grow into – but by the time you get home they’re too small.

Fisher-Price is making shoes just right for kids with their new Fit Zone line, sneakers and sandals for little feet that are big on comfort and make a tiny dent on your wallet.

Turn the shoes over, and each one has three bands across the tip of the sole, one of “too big,” one for “too small” and one for “fit zone” (not quite the same ring as “just right,” but we’ll let them go with the name of the shoe). Place your kid’s heel against the “place heel here” marker at the other end of the shoe (natch), and see where their toes fall for fail-safe sizing.

They’re fail-safe in the morning too – the Abby (above) isn’t the only one in the line to slip on and slip off, so kids can play “me do it” and still get out the door in the morning.

The shoes are only available through Kmart, which is holding a sale through Sunday, the 12th, so get over there to get ‘em while they’re just right.
