When my daughter was young, I never had a sling or baby wrap of any sort. I’m not sure why looking back. But I know that if I currently had a baby, I’d be all about a sling and/or baby wrap. I have a wrap by this seller, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I can prep dinner (but I never use it near a heat source) in it, shop in it, etc. Don’t be discouraged if you are a little confused by the tying at first. Once you do it once or twice, you will be a pro! I carry it in the diaper bag, and I have used it as a blanket and nursing wrap in a pinch. A great item to own!
This style wrap is also wonderful for babies who are in the NICU. You can do “kangaroo care” using a wrap, tuck your baby next to your skin, all while keeping them hooked up to their devices. It allows some modesty, as it covers you up really well.
