There is a God: Britney Spears Says No to Emmy Appearance
I think we can agree that one humiliating, brutal awards-show event is enough for anyone’s lifetime. And I’m not just talking about Tommy Lee getting
bitch-slapped by Kid Rock at the VMAs. In a rare show of wisdom and self-preservation, Britney Spears has decided not to appear on this Sunday’s Emmy telecast. It was rumored that Spears would appear on the show to “apologize for the VMAs” but US Magazine is reporting that Spears’ camp has ended talks with Emmy producers. Whew.
Thankfully somebody put a stop to this. Perhaps it was divine intervention, enlightening career advice or maybe it was the fact that sons Sean and Jayden were petitioning to have their names changed to Jolie-Pitt.
