Lovable Hobbit Sean Astin recently told MTV that a Goonies sequel is “almost certain to happen.”
Rudy also added that he and co-star Corey Feldman hope that the sequel will focus on the next generation, the children of the characters from the original film: “I
have three children and Corey’s got a kid now. So as we now all have
kids who are coming into the age that we were when we made the movie,
it’s more likely to me that they’ll figure out how to design a story
that will satisfy the older audience in terms of connecting with the
original 1985 Goonies, and then create this new thing.”
What the hell does that mean? The children of the Goonies? I guess it’s better than a bunch of adults going on crazy adventures (see National Treasure- wait, I liked that movie).
What do you think? Do we need a sequel? Do we want a sequel? Would you pay to see it?

Corey Feldman was i nterviewed for Babble by Sarah Hepola. It's pretty interesting…
Oh man…I’d see it, but I just have this awful feeling that it will be just painfully bad.
I would TOTALLY watch it! Although, I think that crusty old Mama character kicked the bucket ages ago. I wonder what Chunk looks like now . . . .
