Um ya, take another puff off of the crack pipe asthma inhaler Brit. Remember that failed drug test that everyone’s been barkin’ about? Well, the first explanation given by Spears’ “reps”, was that she had been taking Provigil and that’s what “showed up” in the drug test. However, Provigil will not show up unless it’s being specifically looked for. Provigil is primarily used for Narcolepsy and what’s Narcolepsy? It’s described as someone who experiences “excessive daytime sleepiness”. A Narcoleptic “may also sleep at any random time”. Oh my gosh ya’ll! That’s why Britney can’t drive properly …she’s randomly sleeping, even while behind the wheel! Hit me baby one more time…keep readin’….
So what exactly was found in Brit’s drug test? Well it sure wasn’t good parenting genes. Amphetamines were found and what’s an “amphetamine”? Hmm, well could be a number of things, such as: meth, cocaine, crack…you know, nothing major. However, Spears “people” (what? Her cousin?), are saying, oh it’s just Britney’s asthma inhaler (Albuterol). Does Britney have asthma? Hell no, but she just uses it as an “appetite suppressant”. If you read about Albuterol (which I take because I REALLY do have asthma), it does say that “bodybuilders often use it for cutting up and leaning out”. Ah ya, well Britney isn’t cut or lean, so, see where I’m going with this? Liar liar pants on fire. Oh and one more thing, Albuterol isn’t an amphetamine. They don’t call me Detective Sassypants for nothin’! I’m on the case!

This post just might be the one that removes that removes Babble from my reading list. I love the celeb gossip, but the tone here has gotten more vicious and ignorant week by week. Before you slam somebody (even Britney, target of all mockery) for taking a drug, LEARN about its real uses. Provigil is often prescribed by psychiatric doctors for its “off label” use – as a mood stabilizer. It can be part of a regime that saves somebody’s life.
