Word on the street is that Usher may be returning to Broadway. The talented singer/dancer/actor previously performed in the musical Chicago.
The new role would actually be an old one, as the musical in question is actually the revival of Golden Boy in which Usher would play the lead role previously handled by the the late, great Sammy Davis, Jr. (weird, Sammy Davis, Jr. just shuffled into my iTunes- is that a sign, or do I only have 2 Christmas albums?).
Usher, who is riding high on his rendition of Gene Kelly’s famous scene from Singing in the Rain, might just be the man to bring back the glory days of the all-around entertainers. I hope so. I love that stuff.
