Tori Spelling is writing a boring juicy tell-all memoir of her life during the time she starred on Beverly Hills 90210. Tori, someone who has lived her life in the public eye, wants people to know her side of the story.
“I spent so many years in the media having people tell stories about my life, so I figured I might as well tell the true stories about my life this time. Nobody’s read it! Not even Dean!”
Excerpts of her book are in People magazine. Tori was cast in her father’s show at age 16. “I had an insta-crush on Brian Austen Green,” she writes. Spelling confesses to cheating on her first boyfriend with Brian.
“Brian was the only guy on the show my age. We had something going over the years we worked together. We were always fighting, making up, having fun and hating each other. We were just young.”
Apparently Luke Perry had a crush on her too (I think?) because he used to call Tori ‘Camel.’ Ya, ‘Camel’ is definately a hot nickname when a guy likes you. She wrote, ”As for Luke Perry, he called me ‘Camel’ because I had long eyelashes. Trust me, Luke Perry can call you ‘Camel’ and make it sexy.”
Oh ya baby, Camel is hot.
Beverly Hills 90210 had it’s share of drama, so let us enjoy the yummy tidbits. Here are a few more excerpts:
“Shannen [Doherty] had everything, but she could be arrogant and carefree,” Tori writes of her co-star who played Brenda Walsh on “90210.” “Jennie [Garth] was outspoken when she thought Shannen was out of line. Sometimes they got along, but there were explosions. Once they got into a fistfight.”
Tori says that Shannen took her under and wing, exposing her to the wild side of celebrity life.
“A night with [Shannen] meant going to the hottest club and drinking until the early hours. I knew she was a ‘bad influence,’ but I liked her anyway,” Tori writes.
Four seasons into “90210,” tensions between Shannen and the rest of the cast reached a breaking point. Tori says the entire cast wanted Shannen gone, but needed Tori to be on board with their plan of asking her father, Aaron Spelling, to get rid of Shannen.
“I didn’t want to betray her. Finally I agreed [with her cast members]. When Shannen left, I felt the same as everyone, like I could breathe again.”
Exciting stuff. Tori also talks about the plastic surgery she’s had. She admits to a nose job and one other “procedure.” Hmm, wonder what that would be? Guess we’ll have to buy the book to find out!
Tori’s life has had some ups and downs - she was out of work, in debt for $200,000 and was only willed a small amount of her father, Aaron Spellling’s massive fortune.
However, she seems happy now (I mean look at this pic!), married to actor Dean McDermott, has a cute son, Liam, and expecting a new baby soon and has/had a reality show, Tori & Dean In Love.
“My whole life I wanted to be normal. When I think of what I have now, it’s not the biggest of best of most anything. It’s family and love and safety. It’s work and laughter and imperfection. It’s my normal.”
I’m going to be the first in line to get this book when it hits the shelves.
