There’s been much anticipation for Britney Spears’ video for her single Break The Ice and it’s out! Britney is animated in it – so since it’s a cartoon, maybe her boys can finally watch something of mom’s where she’s not half naked and on a stripper pole.

I warn you, it contains zero nudity and although the song isn’t bad, the video is very, very bad, as in it sucks. I will say that the “cartoon” Britney does have a nice weave.
I used to be a britney fan up until she got all messed up. I SOOO hoped that britney would come back. I even thought she might actually recover after hearing gimme more, but the live gimme more performance was a total bust, it’s video was a bigger disappointment. Then piece of me video came out which was still trash with horrible dance routins compare to the original britney. So my only hope of britney recovering is through this video (break the ice), BUT even now my last hope died away. THIS VIDEO IS PLAIN AWFUL. It’s tone doesn’t even match with the lyric of the song. Also, britney as an anime character?? U HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

What the hell was she thinking? I mean its different but not interesting at all. I thought she definitely would have takin advantage of this song and pull of some nice dance routines…but I guess not.

Two things: One, it’s interesting that she is now so damaged that they have resorted to anime to get her songs out in video form.
Two: Before you jump all over this as “very, very bad,” you might want to consider that you’re missing the frame of refernce to Japanese animation (anime), a highly respected and lucrative art form. The opening shots in the video are a direct homage to GHOST IN THE SHELL, which is based on best-selling manga by Masamune Shirow. Other shots are homage to ARMITAGE III: POLYMATRIX, JIN ROH: THE WOLF BRIGADE, and THE MATRIX.
The song is fucking horrible, but the video ROCKS. I plan to watch it again with the sound off.

What the fuck is this! I love this song, but this video is fucking horrible. Oh my God, it’s like since the album came out, she just isn’t trying anymore. I am so disappointed!!!!!!!!!!
