Cher to Play Catwoman in the Next Batman Movie? WTF?
Are you ready for this? Cher, 62-year-old actress and mother of Chastity Bono and Elijah Blue Allman, is up for the role of Catwoman in the next Batman movie! What, is Catwoman going to be wielding a cane instead of a whip or something? She looks more like Morticia from the Addams Family in this photo.
A studio executive said, “Cher is Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.” Who the hell wants to see Cher in black patent leather? OK, sure, I’m all about Michelle Pfeiffer from the original Batman series, even though Christopher Nolan’s versions are far superior. I have a thing for Tim Burton films, what can I say? But Cher as Catwoman? Ugh. Please, let this be a vicious rumor.
The new Batman installment, potentially titled “The Caped Crusader,” is set to start filming next year. Word on the street is that they’re also getting Johnny Depp to play The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman to play The Penguin.
The Dark Knight – which rocks – is still out in theaters and is already the most successful Batman movie of all time. Heath Ledger is said to be an Oscar favorite, and I can understand why.
You’ve got to admit, Cher is a great actress.

Ok, I know cat’s supposedly have nine lives….but hasn’t Cher pretty much used hers up……it would be a stretch for her to play catwoman’s grandma……uggggggg! I love Johnny and Seymor….but it might be asking a bit much to have to sit thru Cher prancin’ around half naked in leather. Ewwwww
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not my boy Johnny Depp….Then I would have to sit through Christian Bale and that’s just HORRIBLE
