Tiger’s not such a tiger when it comes to being green. He’s more like a pig. The Orlando Sentinel recently released the top water users for central Florida (which is where I live, for the record) and Tiger Woods was in the top three, using over 129,000 gallons of water a month at his $39 million Jupiter Island estate. Damn, that dude is thirsty. Tiger is the daddy of Sam, 1, and has been married to wife Elin for 4 years. They’ve just announced that they’re expecting another baby this winter.
The average water usage, in case you’re wondering, is 10,000 gallons a month. That, too, seems like a lot of toilet flushing and coffee-making, but nowhere NEAR what Tiger is using. Records show that Tiger is near the top of the 25 biggest water guzzlers in Orange County. That’s an average water bill of over $1,000 a month…the average water bill in central Florida is $20 a month.
This is a huge deal because central Florida is in the middle of a water crisis. Other big water hogs in the area include NBA star Grant Hill – at 263,000 gallons a month – and The Magic’s Dwight Howard at 189,000 gallons.
Dudes, have you even HEARD of “An Inconvenient Truth?” Try watching “Living With Ed” on planet Green. You should all be ashamed of yourselves! Ed Begley, Jr. should whupp all your asses with a biodegradeable golf club. Wise up and start teaching your kids the right way to go about living.
Now I’m going to go take a bath and leave the water running the whole time.

Interesting how Grant Hill uses 263K gallons per month, Dwight Howard uses 189K gallons per month but the headline is “Tiger Woods uses more water than a small city” with 129K gallons per month. Does that mean Grant Hill uses two small cities’ worth?
Also if the average household uses 10K per month how is 130K per month “more than a small city”? There are only 13 households in a small city?
