Meg Ryan’s new movie The Women is out in the theater, but she feels that she’ll never quite as popular as she was.

Meg is okay with that. She doesn’t have any desire to play any of the roles she used to play. She said, “I think when
Hollywood is done with me, I will probably be done with it. I’m not
interested in playing those stock characters any more and I don’t feel
sad that I don’t get those kind of offers.” When Meg Ryan hears those words ringing in the air she’ll head out of town.

After her very public split from Dennis Quaid in 2001 she took some time off from public life. She wanted to relax and take it easy. No matter the reason, she missed out on quite a few years of prime acting.
