Madonna doesn’t have to follow the rules? Her Sticky & Sweet London appearance is being fined for going past curfew. Huh?
$249,750.00 is the fine she received for going over her concert time by 40 minutes. Holy crap, that’s $6243.00 per minute. She was supposed to kick the show off at 8:30 pm but didn’t start until 9:10. This means that the show was supposed to end at 10:30 pm, curfew, however it ended at 11:10pm. “Her people knew about the possible implications for going over the curfew but this is a pretty hefty fine, even for Madonna.”
Ooh, I would have been so irritated if I was there. I hate it when musicians think that the can be late. I paid good money for a ticket, I want them to be on time and to do their job. Entertain me.
I think the fine is justified, a little excessive, but still justified, they can chalk it up to a lesson learned.
In Chicago, summer before last, she demanded that the air conditioning not be turned on in the venue. Something about protecting her vocal cords from the dry air, but Chicag in summer? Sweltering. Then to add insult to injury, she was over an hour late. People were furious.
Good … she was real late in Cardiff she should have been fined there also.
