Oh, that Madonna. She’s just crazy, isn’t she? Talking about kicking Sarah Palin’s ass, doing mystic hoodoo at the Kaballah Center, wearing bathrobes in airport security. What will she think of next to garner some publicity? Well, it’s again a radical fashion choice and people are fuming.
To premiere her new movie, “Filth and Wisdom,” Madonna showed up on the red carpet in the weirdest pair of shoes you’ve ever seen: handgun high heels. I’m not kidding. Get a look at these things.
A victims’ rights group is pissed at Madonna’s choice of footwear. Lynn Costello of Mothers Against Murder and Aggression (MAMAA) made a statement Tuesday: “I am horrified that Madonna can see these shoes as fashion.
“As a mother herself I would have thought that she would have paused for a second and thought about all the young people here and in her own country that have died because of gun crime. She should have thought about all the young people that have died because of gun crime.
“We need the whole of society to take responsibility and action in stopping the glamourization of weapons. Celebrities have a massive part to play and an icon like Madonna should have more sense.”
Um, Lynn? Have you MET Madonna? She’s not exactly who I picture when I think of good sense.
In her defense, crack-addled Madonna said that the shoes weren’t loaded.
