Star of “Grey’s Anatomy” Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelly are expecting. No, Katherine isn’t pregnant – the couple are adopting a baby from Korea. They’ve already chosen an agency and are filling out the required papers.
Katherine, 29, said no to getting “Knocked Up” and wanted to adopt because of her upcoming movie projects. Pregnancy would stop her career for a while, so this is the best route for her and Josh.
Katherine is wanting a baby from Korea because her older sister, Meg, was adopted from the country. Not only that, but American orphans just don’t hold the same gravitas as foreign kids. Just ask Madonna and Angelina Jolie.

Actually jerk a lot of us have children from overseas. They need parents too you know. Adopting a child already abandoned seems a better idea than odering one from a birth mother here in the states. Does it bother you that the child is not white? I think it makes perfect sense she would want a S. Korean child since her sister is from S. Korea. Wow, I had no idea you were a ethnocentric racist. Are there starving kids sitting in orphanages here in the US who die from no medical care or dirty drinking water? If so I really want to adopt one of those next time I adopt rather than having to pay all of the fees to the US Government to adopt a child from a third world country.
