Pregnant Jennifer Garner’s Life In Danger?
Jennifer Garner has a stalker. According to reports, a man named Steven Burky has been displaying obsessive behavior towards the pregnant actress by sending her letters and packages and has even shown up at her home! He also has a website called Satanic Panic, where he talks of human sacrifice. The guy is obviously not well.
TMZ is reporting that Garner has obtained a court order protecting herself from Burky – he’s been ordered to stay away from Jennifer, having no contact. Although we all know that a piece of paper isn’t going to help someone if a crazy person is determined to do harm.
In Jennifer’s declaration, she says, “Mr. Burky has been stalking and harassing me,” sending “packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts and following me around the country.” He’s been stalking her since 2002, but in the past year, “his obsessive and harassing has escalated to the point of becoming dangerous and threatening.”
Garner says Burky has followed her home and said, “God has sent him a vision of her being persecuted in some manner that may result in her death.”
The 36-year-old is fearful for herself and her family, saying, “I am currently pregnant and fear for the safety of my second child once born.”
Burky wrote on his website, “Are multitudes of adults resorting to human sacrifices and then repressing this information from fear of Christ…”
Jen’s security guard, Dennis Bridwell has also submitted a declaration and said Burky described himself as a “crazed Alias fan,” once giving her flowers and a card at an event. The card read “I love you forever” and had Burky’s contact information. Um, creepy!
Bridwell added, that Burky has followed Garner around the country, saying, “Mr. Burky now represents a clear threat to Ms. Garner’s life.”
Burky is now under a 5150 psychiatric hold.
How freakin’ scary is that? I can’t even imagine having some looney stalking me and making threats. I think she has every reason to feel threatened. Another reason it wouldn’t be fun to be a celebrity!
