Ann Coulter’s new book Guilty and what she’s written in it, is causing quite a stir, particularly among single mothers, and also single moms who choose to adopt children (particularly from other countries), including celebrities. She writes of the famous adopting children in foreign countries, “Apparently, busting up tribal wars to adopt foreign babies has become the latest form of Hollywood autoeroticism.”

Coulter says that celebrities often adopt children for selfish reasons, such as using their new baby to promote their career – refers to celebrity adoptions as a “trend,” and compares celebrity adoptions to celebrity sex tapes. She’s certainly not making any friends is she?
After her recent “heated” appearance on The View, Coulter sits down with Showbiz Tonight host A.J. Hammer and discusses said appearance and her opinions on celebrities using their babies to promote themselves. I find it really hard to like this woman or to even try to dig through some of the crap she spews to see if any of what she says has any merit.

She has a point. Many celebs do use adoptions and pregnancy to boost their image. Did anyone think well of Jolie until she adopted? Hell no! She was another weirdo junkie and then she adopted and she was Mother Teresa.
Sure, it’s not that she’s playing devil’s advocate – it’s the way she goes about it. She might have better luck with people listening to what she has to say if she didn’t come off like such a c***. Just sayin’.
I dunno, I think there is something to be said to having a devil’s advocate in any discussion. Her controversial stance on many topics open lines of communication that would otherwise not exist.
