After two months of speculation we finally saw what Michelle Obama chose to wear to the inauguration.
While her husband Barack was sworn in as the new president, she shimmered in her dress of gold by designer Isabel Toledo.
It’s nice to see she isn’t driven by the fashion choices of others and follows her own path. This quality is something that she will pass on to her daughters.

it’s .. awful..
first lady, michelle obama, is regal in her own right. i find it amusing to read comments from wanna-be “fashion critics.” the choice she made was a perfect statement of strength and independent thought. it shows that she is not caught up into things that are not as important as the first black man being sworn in as president of the united states. it also says, “who gives a whoot what anyone else thinks?”
do you guys notice that she walks hunch back?! I notice it because I was always hearing my mother tell the youngest sister – who is 6′+ not to hunch her back while she walked. I feel like taking her by the shoulders and straightening her up. She has been able to get any designer clothing; yet I’m surprised she hasn’t been told to straighten up. I too didn’t like her pick of colors. It wasn’t flattering to her complexion. “DO YOUR COLOR CHART MICHELLE!”
i think that she looked regal and elegant. the outfit looked much better than the photo shown above.
Chartreuse, not gold. I wish so much she would stop wearing A-line and empire cuts. They are the worst for her figure a classic pear. Big hip and narrow shoulders look the worst in dresses with this cut. She would look lovely in a classic suit, or even a pant suit.

I thought it was Ugly! I did not think she pulled it off well at all!! I did just have to go by all the
photos as I did not watch it on TV, but needless to say I did not even like seeing it in the pictures
