President Obama: Washington’s Never Had A Bigger Rock Star
Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony attended the Latino Inaugural Gala in Washington, D.C. Sunday evening, and even big time celebrities get starstruck – including JLo herself. She said of Obama, “He is the biggest star here.” Marc agreed, saying, “Washington’s never had a bigger rock star at the helm.”
Lopez added, “The night he won the election, you could feel it in the air. I was….watching him with tears in my eyes, thinking, ‘Yes. Something is different. Something is happening.’ We’re very excited.”
Actress Rosario Dawson said she had a “pinch-me” moment too. “It was really incredible. They’re really poised and incredible and just magnificent people. I’m sort of, like, freaking out right now.”
Other celebrities who attended were, George Lopez, David Archuleta, CNN’s Soledad O’Brien and singer Shakira – who was also excited about meeting President Obama. She said, “He said that he had my music (on his) iPod. I hope he was not just being nice.”
It’s like little kids meeting their favorite rocker or movie star – the same kind of thrill that makes your toes tingle and your belly do flip-flops! Sort of like when Malia and Sasha met the Jonas Brothers!
