For months, there has been speculation that not all was well with Jon and Kate Gosselin’s marriage. There have been cheating and divorce rumors, and now, the couple with eight young kids and a hit reality TV show – TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 – are talking about what’s real and what’s not.
The Gosselin family is featured on the cover of the May issue of Ladies’ Home Journal, and inside Jon and Kate discuss their relationship and how they handle the pressures of raising a big family in the public eye.
Here is part of the interview via OK!:
This struggle has definitely put some tension in our marriage,
yeah so they have 8 kids sooooooooo look at the family with what 18 and counting and table for 12 those wives on those shows are not screaming and yelling at their husbands….why? because they are NICE Kate isn’t she is hateful and selfish and it is no wonder he did wander if he really did. I personally refuse to totally believe that he did anything until I hear it out of his mouth I am not going by what others say and what the mags say we all know they will print anything. Jon I think you are a good man hell a saint to put up with that witch. I think you need to cancel your show and move on with your life I love seeing the smaller kids but the two older ones are just spoiled little brats and have really bad attitudes like Kate your show has run it’s course. I just hope these kids grow up and become good people that are a lot nicer than their mother notice how she never actually cuddles with them in a warm MOM way. It is always for the camera but I am sorry you don’t fool me you are mean.
So we have no proof that Jon had an affair you are all going by what others are saying wake up people magazines will publish anything to make a fast buck. Jon if you did do it GOOD FOR YOU Kate is a nagging wench I hate her she does nothing treat him like garbage and is always on the kids they don’t have a chance. Ever wonder why Maddy is so bitchy? She is a carbon copy of her mom she is going my the example that is being set for her. I can’t stand her either she is a spoiled little witch and needs a good slap on the ass to put that snotty attitude into check. I don’t feel sorry for Kate I feel sorry for Jon because he will be tied to this witch for the rest of his life now….
I think it’s time to shut down your series Jon & Kate- I agree that now the show is about you & all the free, fun & complimentary ‘stuff’ you have because of the fame & fortune this show has given you…it’s apparent from Jon that he doesn’t want the attention & the show anymore, & look what’s happened…he’s trying to escape ‘his reality’ Kate. Funny how so many women see you as demeaning and disrespectful and emasculating – why is that Kate? Yeah, it’s ‘reality’ that you now have to deal with the mobs & screams & tabloid fodder – but you signed up for it my dear. I get the feeling it was more you Kate than Jon who pushed for this TV extravaganza & all that would come with it.
Do any of you making these comments have children? If the answer is no, than you really have had no experience to judge Kate about what a Bitch she is!!! You all sound so rediculous! I have children and it is very easy to take your frustrations out on each other, the answer is not to just turn around and cheat! There is absolutley no excuse for that!!! I personally think Kate looks way better than John and I hope she finds a faithful husband if all this about John is true.
I also find that comment disturbing. Poor Jon, can’t or doesn’t want to grow. Too bad, so sad. Jon live with it. Your wife does great and is very normal. I enjoy watching the show. I wish you lots of luck Kate, your going to need it.
i have watched the show and repeats with a curious interest. Kate is nurse who was educated to evaluate patient status etc. and report accordingly. Upon watching episode after episode. she does not seem to “get it”..Mady a child who screams for therapy..her outbursts are put down to low blood sugar? gimme a break..Kate needs to regroup and evaluate her roll as a parent and without TV cameras in the house tracing to pee to poop..perhaps the parents will be able to do what they chose to do..forget TV and send them home!

I imagine that neither one of them anticipated what married life would be like and this is a little much.Just add to that the publicity that they now have.Talk about feeling like you live in a fish bowl. While I think that they are an adorable family, I wish that they would find a way to be less visible, at least until these hard times blow over.There are other families doing the same thing and surviving much better than this.I wish them well, and that they take care of themselves before they concider more publicity

Kate needs to ditch the cheating, boozing, irresponsible husband. She out there working, raising the kids, keeping the household running while he’s off drinking it up and meeting sluts in motels. He’s clearly got serious problems of his own creation.
Sure kids tease and they will have one another to fall back on, that’s life. Do I feel they’re a special group, NO, they didn’t ask to come here and although there are so many, I stand by what I wrote. Someone will feel left out and didn’t get the type of attention they felt they deserved.
Have you EVER met anyone that came from a big family and they ‘all’ felt their parents treated them all the same. There will be some significant issues. I believe this and there is no one to blame other than the parents for having had so many (like puppies) all at the same time. I feel it’s insane.
The kids will turn out like most kids do. Some will be fine and other will not. It’s a chance we all take having them. I feel most fortunate to have only one. Considered two but know I could do more for one then two.
Honestly, I wish the family well no matter what but I have seen women treat their men the exact same way Kate treats Jon and eventually, they stray.
Who can blame a man when the woman starts acting like a demanding, mother figure and off the chain rude. I’m a woman and can just that way. What man in his right mind would put up with especially having so many kids to contend with. I sure wouldn’t.
The show’s going to get cancelled. I would wager this because the minute the kids can speak for themselves, I can’t imagine they’re going to want that type of attention. I certainly can’t blame them. It’s a little too much.

Hey Ana, I would ‘never’ put myself in their shoes. I would not dare bring that many people into the world that clearly I could ‘not’ support on my love and love them all equally. I think it was an incredibly selfish act. Kids deserve unconditional love ‘all’ the time. Bet one of them end up wondering why they didnt’ get enough attention.
I love show because the kids are so cute at that age but the little jokers grow up. I love to see them as teenagers.
Yea Ellen, they have so many kids by choice. I have ‘no’ sympathy for anyone who chooses to have so many kids like having puppies all at once.
Hell, it’s hard enough to make a marriage work. I think Jon absolutely rocks and Kate is lucky to have what appears to be a passive agressive man. If she doesn’t get come control over her behavior, it’s just a matter of time before it hits the fan. And hey, it’s not our fault if the kids can read. Bet one of them eventually ask ‘why’ they brought so many of them in the world.
Plus, having one child can be a handful and turn the nicest woman into a monster so having so many kids has to be a huge challenge for both of them. Perhaps it’s time to cancel the show. Let their family exist without the glare of the spot light. How unfortunate it would be if they were to split. We live in a world where men leave so Kate should stay mindful of that. I use to like her but I don’t care for her so much. Perhaps it’s the was she does bash Jon and the boys. I’ve noticed it. I wonder if TLC realizes we ‘all’ see it. She’s really cold. He should be with another woman but stay true to his kids. I do not believe in staying for the sake of the kids, never works in the end.

I do feel Jon gets walked on but he allows that to happen. Kate comes across quite cold but hey, I don’t have to live with her. Jon is a good looking man and he’s still young. I think eventually he will cheat especially if Kate continues to behave the way she does. I can’t stand when she cuts him off or hits him albeit jokingly, I feel it demeaning.
I still like the show but I’ve had my feel of Kate. Jon, you rock and I hope you continue to be a REAL man and support your family no matter what.
I find Jon’s comment to be refreshingly honest. Not to say that it’s not disheartening, but the majority of men out there have the exact same thought but will never admit it. That’s why popular models, actresses, and “adult” stars are are mostly under 30… and 90% of middle-aged male celebrities and politicians who get re-married wind up with with “eye candy” several decades younger!
the show used to be real about a family struggling, now the fame and fortune has gone to her head
You know people get me they bad talk this show. But how about once they put themselves in Jon & Kate’s position they never planned to have 8 Kids and when they found out they were having 6 at one time that had to be stressful. They are not like hey lets get rid of them they took on the challange to raise 2 sets of multiples most of you would have gotten rid of them which is cruel. And for that dumb ass guy to say the show needs to be taking off the air is wrong this is the best show ever the show that should be taking off air is toddlers In tiaras that is completely horrible for parents to put wigs on kids and fake eyelashes come on get real stop making them into your dream. The gosselins Are awesome they do not plan wat is going to happen on the show and all the kids are super cute and adorable. Some People Just Need To Get A Grip Put Yourself In Their Shoes. Or If You Dont Like The Show Dont Freaking Watch It. How hard is it to pick up the remote and change it. People who talk trash is the reason why america is the way it is. I am waiting for the episode when Kate comes out and admits she is a lesbian. It is obvious that her realtionship with all males is more like a mommy/daddy connection rather than a male/female connection. Is this a result of her upbringing or the high level of testosterone in her blood due to her physical ailment that caused her infertility. Who knows. However, I truly don’t think she has realized this yet. Jon, if you want to marry a 19 year old when you are 54 more power to you. There is no fool like an old fool, and since you married a lesbian, you are obviously a total fool at any age.

Word to the wise for Kate. Stop the ball busting. She’s relentless. Not just Jon, but all guys. Even the ‘boys’ “aren’t as smart as their sisters” I am put off by this , and cautiously watch the show. Kates attitude about guys makes me tune out. Can’t it be about the kids?

You know, I used to feel sorry for Jon being so henpecked, etc. but when Kate gets exasperated, it’s generally because she is trying to corrall 8 kids (the Toys R Us episode being a case in point) and he is off in his own world. I think people underestimate what it takes to manage a house and 8 kids. Also, it’s all peaches and cream if his life goal was to “be like 54 and marry a 19 year old…” but, dude? You didn’t MAKE THAT CHOICE. You chose to get married (CHOSE) and you chose to have twins(again, CHOSE) and then you also chose (see the pattern here?)to do IVF again and have 6 more. And then your ultimate CHOICE was to have a reality show which you knew would take you and your family and put them in the public eye for a very, very long time. So if you wanted to live a life of no responsibility and no family ties and no “public” persona, you made the wrong CHOICES. Now you have to live with them. Boo-Hoo.
