Kate Hudson is mom to son Ryder Russell, now five, and she said she’s just like her parents – Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. She says she had an old-fashioned childhood and that’s how she’s raising Ryder.
The Bride Wars star says she will not give her son everything he asks for, and admits she’s strict.
“My parents were so strict! [They refused to buy me] everything.
“All of us [kids] had to pay for our first car, and you know… I’m the same way. I’m probably a little more lenient with Ryder because my parents were so strict.
“Everybody’s struggles are different. But when it comes to how you raise your children, I think those values are pretty standard.”
