Bristol Palin Wants Levi To Be In Baby Tripp’s Life (VIDEO)
Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston welcomed their son Tripp last December, and although they remained together for a time after his birth, the teen parents just couldn’t make it work. There’s been much tension between them and both have spoken in interviews about the other – and not favorably.

On Wednesday, May 6, Bristol (and her dad Todd Palin), with baby Tripp, appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today Show. She said despite what her ex-boyfriend Levi is saying, she does want him to be a part of their son’s life.

In dual appearances Wednesday on ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today show, Bristol Palin said she wants ex Levi Johnston to be a part of their 4-month-old son Tripp’s life.
Despite Levi’s previous claims, Bristol, 18, said on GMA, “I’d love Levi to be a part of his life and I know he will be. Every child needs a father.”
Asked a similar question on Today, she said, “I’m not here to talk about my personal life. “I’d love Levi to be part of [Tripp's] life.”
Matt Lauer then brought up Levi’s recent claims that he is not allowed to be alone with their son.
But Bristol — who is in NYC to promote her new role as the Candie’s Foundation‘s teen ambassador for a national teen pregnancy campaign — said, “He’s a part of his life, yeah.”
Todd Palin, Bristol’s father, echoed his daughter’s sentiments.
“I know Levi is going to be a part of Tripp’s life,” he told Lauer. “They’re working out a schedule. It’s challenging enough being teenagers in this world, let alone throwing a baby into the mix, so I know both of them will love and care for their son together.”
In a separate interview on CBS’ Early Show, Levi admitted relations have improved.
“I mean, she seemed to open up, and everything, you know, things are getting a little better,” he said. “She seems to trust me a little bit more. And, you know, things are going pretty smooth now. So, we’ll see what happens, and hopefully, you know, she holds to her word on that.”
Asked why he thinks Bristol trusts him more, he said, “I don’t know.”
But he said he has been trying to be there more for their son.
Said Levi, “I think, you know, things are starting to work itself out pretty slowly but surely.”
