Anonymous commented on Jan 01 70 at 12:00 amI’m not a fan of cakes with people or pieces of people on them (bellies or rumps). I don’t find cutting up mock people festive. The rest are pretty cute too.
Pert near is a slang version of Pretty Near (pronounced Perty in an attempt to be cute, or perhaps by colloquial accent). Use = Pert Near Perfection! (pretty near perfection)

2 is the “baby takes over the cake” cake, I think it is simple but so cute.
and the rump cake is adorable, at first I found it odd that it was just a babies butt, then i decided it was actually very cute. it reminds me of how my daughter slept when she was a bit younger… on her stomach with her legs tucked under her and her little tushie up in the air. it’s actually a perfect cake.
Anonymous commented on Jan 01 70 at 12:00 amI think the ABC block cake is by far the best!
Anonymous commented on Jan 01 70 at 12:00 amI think these are really cute – thanks for the “unicorn chaser” to wipe out the other cake monstrosity!
I am curious – I notice you often use the expression “pert near” in your posts; I haven’t heard that one before! Do you know where it comes from?
