I didn’t wait long after they’d rolled my newborn daughter off to the nursery to give my husband the “tell me the truth” look.
“Is she really beautiful, or do I just think that because I’m her mother?”

Newborns have flaking skin, pruney fingers and surprised looks. Those delivered vaginally often have coneheads from all the pushing and stretching.
