Liveblogging Toy Fair, Part 4: The Disney Princess Sorority House
Welcome to the Disney Princess Favorite Moments Castle, where all your Disney princess dolls can finally live together under one roof. They can dance under plastic fireworks, then relax in a plastic bubble bath, and retire under a plastic quilt. Princes? Who needs princes?
And here are the Disney Princess baby dolls.* Quoth their PR rep: “Each doll comes with the most sparkly bottle that plays the most darling song!” Not just a sparkly bottle. The most sparkly bottle.
Also showing in this booth was a promising trailer for The Princess and the Frog, the upcoming Disney film featuring an African-American princess in jazz age New Orleans, who says things like “I’m not waiting for my prince to come — I’m making my own fairy tale!”
Darn straight.
*Photo editor Lauren would like to point out that Baby Ariel has legs, not fins, which makes little to no sense.
