If you made something as dumb as the Baby Toupee you might think keeping quiet would be the best course of action.
But you would be wrong!
TruTV interviewed Graham Farrar who did indeed come up with the idea for a line of baby headgear. Not just hats — these puppies have hair.

As a black person, I find the whole assessment that funny dreadlock wigs being racist rather stupid and ignorant. I have known many nonblacks people with dreadlocks. And I am not talking about young Gen-Ys or Gen-Xers, it has been lots of older (some of them pretty damn old) rastafarians living in Trinidad. It is like saying a kid wearing a bald cap or a beehive is discriminatory. Tell your friend she needs to rethink that.
Dressing babies has been a part of parenting for as long as, well, dressing has been a human action. Creative dressing has been with us for at least a millenium and a half. Dressing babies in silly, creative , or potentially sickning outfits has been around for a little more than a week less than a millenium and a half.
Fortunately, a child that age is very forgetful, where early parental degredation is concerned.
One other thing i forgot to mention..

You guys! Take the chill pill… its a beenie cap with funny hair on it (soft and felt lined inside no babies harmed in the process etc)…
of course babies are cute enough… doesn’t stop people from putting them in sailor suits.. this is just a more fun version.
Babies are a roll around on the floor and laugh and giggle adventure, not something that is supposed to be sanitized and sterile… worried about babyfood getting in them? thats a looong way from the grossest thing that pops into my mind when i think back on raising my daughter… who despite being the 1st model for babytoupee is turning out great.
Anyway.. really appreciate the article just dont take the whole baby toupee thing too seriously its supposed to make you laugh not make your blood vessels bulge.

as (a white) someone who has had dreadlocks for over a year, i’m offended when black people claim dreadlocks as “theirs”. dreadlocks have a LONG and varied cultural history.
i wish people would educate themselves before they made such ignorant statements.
