As terrible an idea as it seems, I can completely understand why parents of multiples would chose to sign on to something like that. The cost of raising just one or two kids is incredible, I can’t even imagine how daunting the idea of supporting 6 or more infants at once can be. Yes, the invasion of privacy and the stress and exploitation are awful, but what wouldn’t you do to make sure you had food, clothing, and shelter for all your children?
There’s also a new show on WE called “Raising Sextuplets”. Have these people learned NOTHING from the Gosselins??? And raising multiples is not as madcap, neat-freaky or crazy as tv producers want you to think!
I think they may be referring to their show Baby Story where they just film the birth and first few days after coming home. It’s a series that has been on TLC for quite some time. Not that I would ever allow cameras in my delivery room (I’ve always wondered why people do!), but it’s definitely not the same as filming your entire lives. it’s about 2 days worth.
