btw, most French women are “paranoid” during pregnancy also. They don’t smoke, drink, eat raw cheese, etc. They are even careful of eating uncooked vegetables, for fear of toxoplasmosis. And as recently as 10 years ago many French women wouldn’t get in a car in late pregnancy because they said it would cause a miscarriage. It is really an American myth that they do these crazy things in pregnancy. So I think this will shock quite a few French women also.
