if Kaiser released these kids to her without being super careful and one of them died they would get sued. This is eight preemies, not just one.

There’s no such thing as a CO-2 detector – that’s carbon dioxide. It’s a CO detector – carbon monoxide.

Aren’t most kids who leave the NICU medically fragile??? Our son was the biggest but sickest kid there when he was born.

And to a certain point, I agree with them. This woman has asked for them to look into her personal life. And the sheer numbers warrant concern, but still, I can’t even describe the feeling I would have felt if my son’s hospital felt like they needed to do a home study before bringing him home. Although I think they were sizing me up most of the time I was there, and they probably didn’t consider me as wacky as Nadya.

Actually, she DID ask for “all of this;” conveniently forgetting that she has courted publicity, embraced public assistance, and made choices that have thrust attention squarely upon her. SO to now say, “that’s enough, leave me alone” is neither realistic or understandable. But then again, nothing she has done is grounded in reality or engenders sympathy.

i would normally say that it is over the top… but considering the back story, yea it is necessary.

They’re also pre-term and medically fragile, Sheri. Kaiser Permanente is right to demand that she not bring them into the sort of pit she lived in with her OTHER six kids.

Wow!!! No one ever cared if we had detectors in our house. I was still folding and putting away stacks of baby clothes when I brought our youngest son home from the NICU.

But then again, I didn’t have 8 children to bring home, and I only had two other children at the time–one of them being a teenager.

Um, where is she living now? I thought she had missed numerous payments on her house …
