Toddler-Proof Camera
If you’re looking for something to keep little hands
away from your expensive digicam without discouraging young photographic
exploration, you need to pick up a Fisher Price
Kid Tough Digital Camera ($49.99 at Amazon.com). Available in blue or pink,
this new version of includes a larger screen (1.6 inches, up from 1.3 inches)
and produces slightly larger images (resolution is still 640×480, but they’ve
upped the megapixel count to 1.3). You won’t want to use it to take the annual
Holiday Card pic, but you’ll be thrilled when your two-year-old drops it off
the high chair and it bounces, but doesn’t break. A USB cable lets you download
the shots to a PC or Mac, or you can use the SD card slot for more storage. But
this isn’t really about nurturing a future Ansel Adams – we’ve had ours for
months, and haven’t downloaded a single shot. Does the little guy care? Not a
bit. He just likes having a working camera that he can safely call,
“MINE!”

Anonymous commented on Jan 01 70 at 12:00 amI agree, it seemed a bit much at the time but my kids just love this camera.
