Trendwatch: Fabulous Dads Under the Knife?
Some women (fewer than reported, surely) turn to surgery to restore their pre-baby bodies. While there is nothing wrong with some well-executed post baby vanity (some of my best friends care about what they look like), surgery seems so extreme… so retro-sexual-1950s-denial-of-nature.
But when I heard about the under-reported trend of fathers going for surgery to restore their pre-baby bodies, somehow the whole enterprise took on a new light.
Have you heard of some of these lesser known surgeries?
In addition to the predictable tummy tuck and bum-lipo, there are those treatments specifically associated with the act of procreation, pregnancy (couvade), and newborn baby care:
- Scrotal Seratonin Serum
- Prurient Penile Promulgation
- Vas Deferens Defense
And who knows? Before we know it, these services may be offered in combination with facials and massage.
