5 Modern Holiday Songs That You Won’t Hear This Season

Is anyone a bit tired of all of the holiday music out there? I mean everywhere you go, you hear it: in the elevators, at Starbucks, walking down the street, on-hold music…heck, I think I now even hear it when I’m dreaming. I love that my kids go out to retirement homes as part of Girls Scouts or other activities to sing carols and bring joy to the hearts (and hopefully ears) of those on the receiving end.

But by the time the end of the holidays come along, my own ears are bleeding and ringing in pain from all of those “Jingles Bells” that have been sung off-key and burned their way into my brain.

My wife loves contributing to the torture whenever she can, but I let her do it. After all, this is her favorite season. (Our decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving.)

So to keep me from going completely insane, I thought that I would come up with some holiday songs that you WON’T hear during the holidays! They are classic tunes with a twist, some new content, and current topics.

Without further ado, here are 5 Holiday Songs with New Content You Won’t Hear This Season:

Red Christmas

Sung to "White Christmas"
As we just go more and more in debt as people, states and countries, soon it will be snowing pink slips!

Are there any that you would like to add to the list? I guess that I should start working on my own rendition of Auld Lang Syne and just forget about all of those un-sung songs!

  1. Knux Kitsune says:

I’d just like to point out that it’s Santa Claus, not Clause. You’ve been watching too many Tim Allen movies.

    1. @Knux, Ahh good point! It was probably residual from my previous post “The Santa Believer Clause“. I will correct that.

  2. Ron Mattocks says:

Better than “sexting” Santa. That would totally weird me out. Oh, and now I can’t get that song out of my head.
