There are so many videos going viral these days that it gets hard to keep up.
Of course, there is also no real reason any of us have to keep up either, except for the fact that some of them are pretty inspiring, even if they only inspire us to pause for a second or two during our busy days to crack a genuine smile.
And it’s in that light that I sort of feel that it’s important that I share this particular video today.
There’s not much going on here; no flash mobs and no surprises. There are no tears of joy rolling down cheeks here. And you won’t find anybody being scared out of their skin or popping out of a box or defying death somehow.
No, what we have here today is a bona fide example of honest-to-goodness childhood awesomeness in all of it’s (sometimes) quiet glory.
According to the YouTube page where I found it, the dog here is a 12 year old Shar Pei. No age is given for the young lad, but I’d guess he is about 2 years old or so.
Once again, I don’t like to give away the plot or anything in my little preview, simply because I’m hoping that there’s an off-chance that you, the reader, haven’t seen it yet and that you will get experience it’s subtle magic just by seeing it with your own two eyes.
So, as 2012 winds down and we each prepare to enter the gauntlet of another brand new year, I really hope that you crack a big old goofy grin when you check this one out. Because, if you ask me, it’s good to laugh and smile our way out of one year and into the next.
