Disney’s Kerpoof Tell a Story App is Perfect for a Summer of Creativity

Kerpoof Tell a StoryDisney’s Kerpoof is all about imagination and creativity. They encourage fun learning and offer tools for educators to help facilitate it in the classroom. They do some pretty wonderful stuff. But this is summer, and classrooms are a distant memory (my boys got out of school yesterday and they couldn’t pick their classroom out of a lineup). What about imagination, creativity, and dare I say it, fun learning, for the summer?

Kerpoof has you covered on that, too.

Today Kerpoof launched a new mobile app that helps kids create their own stories through interactive media and dinosaurs! Kerpoof Tell a Story offers lush prehistoric scenery, animated characters, the ability to add text, and a number of other bells and whistles that make creative storytelling as appealing to children as the gameplay that normally occupies their tablet time—perhaps even more so.

Tell a Story lets users (recommended for children ages 6-8, but I think lots of fun can be add well outside that bracket) create stories up to 30 pages in length that are then saved and added to their virtual bookshelf for future reading (or editing). The video below gives a great overview of the creative fun to be had:

And I mentioned the dinosaurs, right?

How cute are these guys? Creative storytelling and cute dinosaurs? It’s going to be a good summer!

Kerpoof Tell a Story mobile app costs $2.99 and is available for iPad. Follow Kerpoof on Twitter!
