Hilarious Toddler Argues with Mom Over Cupcakes! (VIDEO)

I want cupcakes, Linda.

I want cupcakes, Linda.

Anyone who has or knows a chatty bright toddler will appreciate this video making the rounds today of a really funny 3-year-old boy.

See, it seems as if this precocious kid has his heart set on some cupcakes for dinner, but obviously his mom, sees things a little differently.

Luckily for the entire world though, she decided to do a bit of filming just to capture her son’s attempts at mastering the art of persuasion.

It’s comical stuff, especially when you consider just how much the young fellow mimics his mother’s own way of speaking. He copies her inflections and everything pretty spot on.

Kids are so dazzling when their brains really start connecting the dots of how to navigate the world. It’s often mind-blowing when we realize just how much toddlers actually understand the rules of ‘playing the game’.

On a more personal note, I absolutely love the fact that there is a chair sitting rather inconspicuously against the kitchen counter in the background of the scene playing out.

Why?

Well, as a parent of a boy of three myself, I instantly recognized that chair back there as more than likely the work of a Counter Climber, a toddler who simply cannot help him or herself from constant domestic exploration, from scaling the high peaks of their home to get into all possible cabinets and drawers and fridges. No matter what I try and do to stop him, my son, Henry, is a Counter Climber possessed.

So, sit back and enjoy the show as this young dude, arguing his best case for the right to have cupcakes at suppertime, reveals just why so many toddlers are a real intellectual force to be reckoned with.

Oh and by the way, let me just go on record as saying that I predict big things for the star of this viral video.
