Man Legally Changes Name To Santa Claus

The Long Island Santa Claus.

Frank Pascuzzi from Long Island, New York is my new hero. And, if you like Christmas a whole helluva lot, he might just be your hero, too.

See, according to an article over at the New York Post, the 54 year-old elf-formertly-known-as-Pascuzzi looks a lot like Santa Claus and hires himself out to portray Father Christmas at events and parties and the like, so back in March he figured ‘why not change his name as well’?

And so he did…to Santa Claus!

“I look like Santa Claus. Everybody knows me as Santa Claus,”  Claus told the Post. “When people look at me, they smile. I decided to take it one step further.”

And judging by the photos over on  Old Man Christmas (as he likes to be called) Facebook page, I’d say he’s actually the real deal; a guy taking Santa Claus into places where even the real Santa might not have ended up.

So, this Christmas Eve sit back and have a glass of wine or tea or whatever floats your sleigh and rest easy in knowing that out there on that distant cold starry horizon, there is indeed a man officially known as Santa Claus.

In fact, according to the Post, “A records search revealed there are at least 15 individuals named Santa Claus in America.”

But, I’m going with the Long Island guy. Why?

Well, check out this short but assuring video from his website.

Merry Christmas, youse guys.
