Summer maintenance
Before you take off on any summer road trips, make sure your vehicle is up to the task. This checklist will help you get your vehicle prepared for the dog days of summer:
Check tire pressure: Low tire pressure will greatly reduce your vehicle’s fuel economy.
Check tire tread: Replace balding tires to avoid blowouts on the road.
Check tow and cargo capacity: if you plan on towing sports equipment or camping gear, check your vehicle’s maximum tow capacity to prevent damaging the powertrain.
Coolant: Make sure your cooling systems are working properly. Overheated vehicles are a common cause of auto breakdowns on the road in the summer.
Replace air filter: A clean air filter will improve your vehicle’s performance.

thank you for the list! I don’t know how much we’ll be tvrealing thankfully the majority of our family lives within a 30 minute drive or soon will if they don’t but this will definitely be nice to reference if we do take a longer trip
