Given the fact that so much bad has seemed to happen over the past week, what with the hurricane and the NYC nanny tragedy, I felt it my duty today to try and drop a little bit of humor in your laps here in my micro-corner of the written world.
So check it out, people.
Halloween is here! We made it!
Another damn year has been raging right by us and once again it’s October 31st. I’m hoping that wherever you are, Halloween and trick-or-treating are still going down tonight, but if you are somewhere in that damn hurricane’s wake, struggling/in the dark/maybe reading this a week from now, let me just say that I am sorry, yo. I hope that you and yours are safe and that your kids DO get to celebrate Halloween with other kids who are missing it as soon as it’s humanly possible.
Because delaying Halloween, that’s understandable. But cancelling it…that seems too harsh. So have it in November.
Hell, have it in December.
But have it.
Wherever you are this Halloween, I decided to take a look at the world of costumes for 2012 for you; I figured maybe I could find a few pictures of some funny ones that haven’t already been posted on every website on Earth. Of course, that wasn’t gonna happen. I ended up just wasting about twenty minutes picking through the stuff you’ve probably already seen.
I was determined to make you smile though.
I kept searching.
Now, I think you’ll be glad I did.
So, take a few minutes and watch this pretty hilarious video below from TYT Network featuring a review of some of the most incredibly inappropriate children’s costumes ever. I won’t give anything away, but I just want to warn you: there are a lot of laughs in here (some of these are actually pure perfection) as well as a few moments of pure revulsion (you’ll know exactly what I am referring to as soon as you see it).
But comedy is comedy and laughs are laughs and that’s what I’m dragging you here for.
Okay, that’s it.
Happy Halloween, my friends. May the force be with you…
