In the darkest hours, when you’re scraping furiously thrown avocado and yogurt off the floor for the 17th time today, Babble is here for you. We’ll share clues to help you understand what’s going on in your toddler’s brain, tips on how you can help, and things you can do proactively to set limits with empathy. We’ll also fill you in on the three most common mistakes parents make when dealing with a tantrum — and save you from being doomed to repeat them. While we can’t promise you a magic formula that will turn “terrible” into “terrific,” we can promise you that your child isn’t the only small person (sometimes) behaving badly, and the difficult times won’t last forever. We can also assure you that avocado and yogurt are (mercifully) quite washable.
