“I Changed My Mind” Is The New “No”
Just like he used to say NO all the time, Brian Gresko's son has taken to changing his mind about things – well, everything, really.
Tantrums, meltdowns, moments, fits: Whatever you call them, when your toddler loses his or her cool, it can be … challenging, let’s say, to keep yours. In the darkest hours, when you’re scraping furiously thrown avocado and yogurt off the floor for the 17th time today, Babble is here for you. We’ll share clues to help you understand what’s going on in your toddler’s brain, tips on how you can help, and things you can do proactively to set limits with empathy. We’ll also fill you in on the three most common mistakes parents make when dealing with a tantrum — and save you from being doomed to repeat them. While we can’t promise you a magic formula that will turn “terrible” into “terrific,” we can promise you that your child isn’t the only small person (sometimes) behaving badly, and the difficult times won’t last forever. We can also assure you that avocado and yogurt are (mercifully) quite washable.

I, a mere mother of toddlers - have an announcement to make. While these little people may be the brunt of a lot of justifiable flack, I'm here to tell you that for the most part - they are awesome.

Babies don't hit, right? So I guess this means I really do have a toddler.

One might say that having a peaceful household should be a notion that I just give up on at this stage of the game. I'm here to tell you that it is possible. At least for broken up chunks of delicious time.
