Six months ago Philip Michaels’ family lost their Maltese dog, so when the Queens, New Yorker saw a really sweet lonesome puppy in a litter he knew what he had to do.
““Me being the animal lover that I am, I saw this little white puppy sleeping in the corner being ignored by all the other dogs…I grabbed him, his tail wagged and he reminded me so much of my maltese and I knew he was the one,” told New Media Rockstars.
So, Philip took the little guy home and asked his dog-loving dad to help him unload some groceries from the car.
His father’s reaction to seeing the brand new family member is a charming reminder of just how clutch of a role pets play in our daily lives. No matter how grizzled you are, no matter how jaded or suspect you’ve become through the years, you can’t deny that seeing a grown man get all giddy when he spots a baby Havanese and realizes that they are to be a team from that moment on is straight up cool.
I’m starting to think there ought to be a TV show, half-hour a day, with all of the very current viral videos going around the internet; a wrap-up, if you will.
Or does that already exist?
Either way, enjoy the happiness.
