Runners are their own brand of crazy awesome magic. But a lot of them wouldn’t make it past that first mile marker without a solid support team to cheer them on.
And while most of us would include our friends and family among our cheerleaders no doubt, this Disney icon dream team is easily the stuff of wishlist legend.
1. Mama Odie
She’s arguably the world’s best fairy godmother. After all, by making you dig a little deeper, she helps you help yourself. Boom.
Riff raff, street rat – he’s been called that and more, but yet, still came out on top. Here’s thinking he would deliver one seriously motivational pre-race pep talk.
3. Prince Eric
Those baby blues, a plunging neckline that actually looks manly — much better than having Ryan Gosling waiting at the finish line.
She’s scrappy, that one. And, she knows the dream that you wish will come true. Who better than to cheer you on mile after magical mile than a self-made woman of the world and her bird-and-mouse entourage?
This is who you want as your trainer. Seriously. He’ll make a man out of you, mister. Even if you’re not one…
Have you seen her run? She has legs that go on for days, no doubt from hitting all the hidden pine trails of the forest.
He knows giving up is for rookies, and that going from zero to hero takes hard work. And sure, toughness is his language of love, but you can bet he’ll be the first one head, er, chest butting you at the finish.
8. Tinker Bell
The woman has pixie dust, people. Remember that around mile 13.
9. Buzz Lightyear
If you trip in the home stretch, at least he’ll have shown you how to do his signature move: “Falling with style.” Do it right, and you can probably use your own leverage to sail right across the finish line.
Two words: Warm hugs.
