It’s that time of year when kids make lists and drop hints for all of the awesome gifts they want this holiday season. You know what I’m talking about. I’ve been hearing it for weeks.
My family is pretty Disney crazy (that probably goes without saying), and as such my boys have created a list that is filled with Disney-themed LEGO sets (also, Disney Infinity figures). FILLED.
I took the liberty of compiling a list from their lists (relisting?), and tried to include some of the Disney LEGO sets with the widest appeal, because I care about you, the Internet reader.
This is our list of must-have Disney LEGO sets (below), what’s on yours?
Jabba’s Sail Barge (Star Wars) 1 of 7
Remember when R2-D2 got that sweet second job serving drinks on Jabba's Sail Barge? It was dangerous, but the dental coverage was fantastic.
This set includes Jabba the Hutt, R2-D2, Princess Leia in a slave outfit, musician Max Rebo, and guards Weequay and Ree-Yees. Note: Do not play near Sarlaccs.
Available at LEGO for $119.99.
Mater’s Spy Zone 2 of 7
As you know, Mater is a master of disguise. Also, comedy.
In this Cars 2 set Holley Shiftwell and Mater are part of top secret mission, and that's all I'm allowed to say. You know, spy stuff.
Available on Amazon for $22.02.
Spider-Man: Daily Bugle Showdown (Marvel) 3 of 7
Dr. Doom and Beetle are attacking the Daily Bugle! Again. Luckily, Spider-Man and Nova are there to stop them, as they do. This is the perfect set for kids that love the Ultimate Spider-Man show on Disney XD, which mine do (and so do I).
This set includes Spider-Man, Nova, Dr. Doom, Beetle, and J. Jonah Jameson.
Available at Kmart for $49.99.
Ariel’s Undersea Castle 4 of 7
Princess Ariel, Flounder, and Sebastian love to entertain friends at their underwater playground!
Ariel's Undersea Castle is not to be confused with Ariel's Undersea Adventure ride at the Disneyland Resort, because the latter is much bigger. My kids want both. Obviously.
Available at Toys"R"Us for $29.99.
Ewok Village (Star Wars) 5 of 7
Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi was more or less one big travel ad for the Moon of Endor, and thankfully Disney Parks' Star Tours can take you there. The camping is choice.
The Ewok Village set includes a tree-trunk hideout, a secret Lightsaber stash, spider web, net traps, slide, catapults, and an elevating throne (C-3PO magic not included). My kids covet this LEGO set.
Includes R2-D2, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, two Rebel soldiers, five Ewoks (including Wicket, Teebo, Chief Chirpa, and Logray), two Scout Troopers, and two Stormtroopers.
Available at LEGO for $249.99.
Dusty and Chug 6 of 7
This duo from Disney's Planes are flying into your homes this holiday season on DVD and Blu-Ray. Also, LEGO Duplo bricks.
Fling with Dusty Crophopper can take your kids to infinity and beyond! Oh wait, wrong movie (but that one is good, too).
Available at Target for $13.30.
Jake’s Treasure Hunt 7 of 7
Jake and the Never Land Pirates on Disney Junior is a favorite in our house, and this set is a hit, too. Who doesn't love treasure?
Available at Target for $11.59.
