Dapper Day at Disney: A Fashionable Affair

When we visit the Disney Parks we usually wear jeans, our ears and a Disney Graphic Tee from Disney Store or Old Navy. We dress for comfort, and comfort alone. Running around Disneyland in sunny So Cal with kids in tow usually leaves us hot and a bit disheveled by the end of a day. It has to be a special occasion to get all gussied up, like a visit to Club 33 perhaps or maybe a Disney Date Night.

There is another really good reason to dress fancy at Disney – Dapper Day!

If you’re not familiar with Dapper Day, it is an independently organized social gathering that brings fine folks together from all over. These ladies and gentlemen have 2 things in common Disney and fashion! This year they are having a Fashionable Fall Soiree; doesn’t that just sound divine? There are three separate Dapper Days next month, depending on where your home park is. Friday, September 6 at Disneyland Resort, Saturday, September 14 at Disneyland Paris, and Saturday, September 21 at Walt Disney World Resort.

We attended Dapper Day this past spring and loved every minute. It felt as if we were transported back to a time when people put a lot of thought into what they put on. Women wore dresses, pearls and heels. Men wore fedoras, slacks and bow ties. Imagine what it must have been like when Walt used to walk the park, and that’s just what Dapper Day can feel like – a dream! So start planning your ensemble now, it’s time to dress to impress at the Disney Park of your choosing. We’ll be at Disneyland, say hello if you see us!

Have you ever been to Dapper Day? Will you be attending this fall?
