Get the kids ready to take off and soar in another adventure with Dusty Crophopper and his aeronautic antics in Planes: Fire and Rescue! We first met and fell in love with Dusty in last year’s Planes and thankfully we don’t have to wait years for a sequel, this follow up will be opening in theaters everywhere on July 18th!
Dane Cook returns in his role of Dusty and is joined by an eclectic cast of characters that the whole family will adore. So what goes down in Planes: Fire and Rescue?
“When world-famous air racer Dusty learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his team, a bunch of all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire, and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.”
And, just for you and your Planes loving kids, here is a first look at the characters — on wheels — in Planes: Fire and Rescue, meet them right here!
Pulaski 1 of 6
Pulaski is voiced by Patrick Warburton and is Piston Peak's structural engine. He has a big job being responsible for protecting the buildings and bridges in the park. He can pump an amazing 1000 gallons per minute and has a big challenge, keeping the Grand Fusel Lodge, which happens to be the largest log structure in the world, safe!
Cad Spinner 2 of 6
Cad Spinner is a park superintendent and is voiced of John Michael Higgins. Cad Spinner, as you can see, is a luxury Sport Utility Vehicle, who is far more a fancy car than a country roller. He is ALL about the money and who takes money from the firefighters' yearly budget to fund his lodge restoration project.
Mayday 3 of 6
Mayday is voiced by Hal Holbrook and has been the Propwash Junction's fire and rescue truck for eons! He's feisty but is slowing down with age. The town is getting bigger (thanks for Dusty), and it may be too much of a challenge for Mayday.
Ol’ Jammer 4 of 6
Ol' Jammer, voiced by Barry Corbin, has been the Piston Peak tour bus for 72 years and knows the area better than anyone. He entertains visitors with his vast knowledge of the park.
Maru 5 of 6
Maru, voiced by Curtis Armstrong works a a mechanic tug at the Piston Peak Air Attack base. He's seasoned, sarcastic but still friendly. He uses all sorts of old tools and parts to fix the area's vehicles with the motto "It's better than new!"
Ryker 6 of 6
Ryker, voiced of Kevin Richardson, has been part of the Transportation Management Safety Team (TMST) for 17 years. He takes air safety VERY seriously!
