Get Ready for Halloween with Disney Pixar’s Toy Story of Terror! (VIDEO)

Toy Story of Terror | BabbleA vacant roadside motel, figures lurking in the shadows, coffin-like spaces, puddled slime — they’re all the stylings of classic Hollywood horror films, and on Wednesday, Oct. 16, they’ll come together in the premiere of Toy Story of Terror!

Airing at 7 p.m. CST on ABC, the 30-minute Halloween special (Pixar’s first ever made-for-television short) stars Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the Toy Story gang as they face their scariest adventure yet.

With nods to Silence of the LambsPredatorThe Shining, and Alien, among others, Toy Story of Terror! picks right back up where Toy Story 3 left off. This time, Bonnie, her mom, and the toys set off on a nice little road trip to grandma’s house that takes a turn for the terrifying — an unexpected overnight stop along the way:

BWAHAHAHA.

The short also brings back the voice talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack (hooray!), while reintroducing Combat Carl (remember him from the original Toy Story?) and introducing some new toys as well.

We can’t wait to make this hair-raising Halloween tale part of our annual family-friendly creepy movie countdown.

Are you prepared to be scared?
