There are certain Christmases and birthdays from my childhood that stand out in my memory. My first bike. My first pair of roller skates. My first Cabbage Patch Kid. My first ten speed.
This week I got my first Disney MagicBand.
Back in May, Disney Voices writer Whit introduced us to the Disney MagicBand, a key piece of the My Disney Experience changes rolling out across Disney Parks and Resorts. While they have yet to appear at Disneyland Resort, MagicBand sightings are now common around Walt Disney World Resort. Each MagicBand is personalized to the owner and includes room key, park admission, and credit card information. Some MagicBand users are also currently testing the new FastPass+ system, which allows guests to reserve a FastPass time online for popular attractions, character greeting locations, parades, fireworks, and shows.
As part of the planning for my family’s upcoming trip to Walt Disney World, we were able to design our customized MagicBands. We are also participating in the FastPass+ testing – more on that soon!
Check out our first Disney MagicBands!

We customized our Disney MagicBands with the colors we love. The inside of each band also includes family member names for when Emma forgets that she selected blue and Noah forgets that he selected red.
Disney MagicBand is One Size Fits All 5 of 8
When I first saw our MagicBands, I imagined taking a scissors to my son's band to fit his tiny wrist. Then I actually looked at the box and found out that they're one size fits all and come with instructions to re-size for smaller wrists.
